Who the data controller is

What we collect
- Anonymised traffic data — page URL, referrer, browser, country, and a coarse timestamp. We use this to know which pages are read and which aren't. No cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles, no third-party ad pixels.
- Local storage flags — two small markers stored in your browser, one to remember you confirmed you're 18 or over, one to remember you accepted the cookie notice. They live on your device, not on our servers.
- Email correspondence — if you email the editorial inbox, we keep the thread until the matter is resolved and for up to 24 months afterwards for editorial reference.
What we don't collect
We don't ask you to register, sign in, or hand over personal details. There's no advertising network on this site, no remarketing pixel, no fingerprinting. We don't see anything that happens on the operator's site after you click a “Visit” link — that's the operator's own collection, governed by the operator's privacy notice.
Affiliate tracking
Outbound links to operators carry a tracking parameter so the operator can pay Table Marketercommission on referrals. The parameter doesn't carry your identity — it identifies us, not you. The operator may set its own cookies on its own domain when you arrive; that's subject to their privacy and cookie notices.
Legal basis
For anonymised analytics we rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — running a comparison site sensibly. For your local storage flags we rely on the strict-necessity exemption in PECR. For email correspondence we rely on legitimate interests for editorial responses, and on legal obligation when handling a formal data request.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of any data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop processing it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at · ico.org.uk. Children
This site is for adults aged 18 or over only. If you believe a person under 18 has used the site, email · help@tablemarketer.comand we'll act on it.
Updates
When this policy changes materially we'll update the effective date at the top and, where the change reduces your rights, we'll surface a notice on the homepage for at least two weeks.
